As an artist, I consider myself a communicator with color. Its own language, used to convey emotion, meaning and character - the possibilities of what a hue, a shade, a color combination will say are endless.
I especially love to spot and collect colors in nature and in the world that spark my imagination - informing a painting, wallpaper or styled room. I could say that I love ALL colors - but I’d be a big liar if I said I love all colors equally.

There’s one shade that seems to play on repeat, again and again in my life. One tube of paint that is perpetually empty, one shade of lip gloss that I own in multiples, and one accent color I use in most of my interior projects. My without fail favorite, a nuanced dusty pink.
I definitely survived a good portion of my life indifferent to pinks, of all shades. Beautiful when spotted in nature, yes, but as a signature color I crave and surround myself with daily? Not so much.
But somewhere along the way, that changed. When did I first fall hard for the softest of pinks?

Somewhere since, I’ve created hundreds of paintings, saved thousands of pins, worn many items of clothing and home goods and designed many, many wallpapers and rooms around this luscious tint. I think it’s safe to say I’ve officially crossed into my blushy pink obsession era.

The almost neutral of this just right shade makes it the perfect accent (or all over) for so many uses. Rooms, outfits, makeup. Artwork, architecture, lip gloss and stemware. Really, is there any place this hue doesn’t work?

Somehow this shade evokes a sense of nostalgia and sentiment, reminding me both of simple moments and luxurious beauty. It’s a shade that feels like sunlight, vintage film cameras and summer evenings. Roller skates, wheat fields and first crushes. Seashells, vintage books and baby cheeks.

Soft pink doesn't demand attention; it quietly exudes sophistication and charm. It can be used in equal measure as an accent or drenching an entire room / painting / outfit.
It’s quiet. It’s warm. It’s nuanced. Seems just about perfect…
